BiharWatch is hosted in the Bhojpuri speaking region that comprises of Bhojpur, Eastern and Western Champaran, Buxar, Rohtas, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj and Kaimur. While it covers whole of Bihar it focuses on these nine districts out of the 38 districts in Bihar and 640 districts in India. Sone is an important river besides Ganga and Gandak in this region.

National Seminar on “State Protector or Violator of Human Rights” at Magadh Mahila College

Department of Political Science, Magadh Mahila College, in collaboration with PG Department of Political Science, Patna University, Patna is organizing a UGC sponsored 2-Day National Seminar on "State: Protector or Violator of Human Rights" during February 25-26, 2012.

Magadh Mahila College was established in 1946 as a government college and is presently a constituent unit of Patna University. It has the distinction to introduce the teaching of science as early as in 1948. The college imparts education to more than 3000 girl students in various disciplines. It is the oldest college for women in undivided Bihar.
